Four applied mathematics undergraduate students are dedicating their summer to a major research project for the USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education.

Staff and faculty at USC Shoah Foundation gathered Wednesday to view this year’s project from the 2013 UCLA Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM)’s Research in Industrial Projects (RIPS) program.

USC and UCLA may be rivals on the football field, but they came together for a very important cause last week - the Armenian Genocide collection.

This week, Hovannisian and three of his former students gave a talk about how they amassed such a large repository of memory at so crucial a time, “when denialism was huge.”
