To meet growing demands for access to the world’s largest archive of genocide testimony, USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education is announcing its Visual History Archive Program, which will reimagine how users connect to the testimonies.

USC Shoah Foundation colleagues from around the world met for two days to discuss the progress and next steps of the Visual History Archive Program, which aims to drastically expand access to the Visual History Archive over the next five years.

About 60 librarians and archivists from the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) viewed a webinar about the Visual History Archive on Thursday, August 18, hosted by ProQuest and USC Shoah Foundation.

On Wednesday, October 5, USC Shoah Foundation will share best practices of using the Visual History Archive, host live conversations with our archivists and indexers; and give a demonstration of the new ProQuest search function.

​USC Shoah Foundation integrated the first 984 English-language transcripts into the Visual History Archive over the weekend – the first such update since ProQuest began working on transcribing testimonies as part of its partnership with USC Shoah Foundation last year.
