Spell Your Name, a feature-length documentary about the Holocaust in Ukraine, was screened at the 2011 International Forum in Kyiv, on June 22, 2011. Marking the 70th anniversary of the German attack on the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, the 2011 International Forum, 1941: German War of Extermination in Ukraine and Its Actors, was organized by the Institute of Global and European Studies at the University of Leipzig in the framework of the History Workshop Europe program (Geschichtswerkstatt Europa) of the German Federal Foundation "Remembrance, Responsibility and Future" (Die Stiftung Erinnerung, Verantwortung und Zukunft).

Film director Sergey Bukovsky and Institute Regional Consultant in Ukraine Anna Lenchovska presented Spell Your Name during the public screening at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Bukovsky spoke about the process of selecting interviews for the film from the Visual History Archive of the USC Shoah Foundation Institute and discussed his choice of the minimalist philosophical style while approaching the history of the Holocaust in Ukraine. The film takes viewers on a journey of discovery as the film director and several Ukrainian students absorb the testimony of local people who escaped brutal execution and those who rescued friends and neighbors during the Holocaust.

The film is a collaboration between the USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
