Stephen D. Smith to Moderate Panel at USC Global Conference in Hong Kong
On Saturday, October 15, 2011, the Institute's Executive Director, Stephen D. Smith, will moderate the panel discussion, "A Revolution of Conscience—Can Holocaust and Genocide Testimonies Help Prevent Violent Societies in the Future?," at the 2011 USC Global Conference in Hong Kong. The USC Global Conference that takes place from October 13-15 in Hong Kong gathers leading experts from USC and throughout Asia to examine global challenges and potential opportunities due to our increasingly interconnected world. The conference themes include global technology, the economy, health, and the environment.
Panel speakers include: Stephen D. Smith, Executive Director, USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education (Moderator); Sara Greenberg, Board Member, Hong Kong Holocaust and Tolerance Resource Center; and Freddy Mutanguha, Director, Kigali Genocide Memorial, Rwanda ; Kosal Path, Research Fellow, Center for Khmer Studies.
