Fife Foundation Funds Three Years of UPenn Teaching Fellow Program
Scholars from the University of Pennsylvania will teach courses using the Visual History Archive for another three years following a new grant from the Fife Foundation.
USC Shoah Foundation’s teaching fellow program invites teaching faculty each year to submit proposals for courses that would incorporate testimony from the Visual History Archive. Instructors may use any discipline or methodology, and may create a new course or modify an existing course.
Awarded faculty will visit Los Angeles to conduct research with USC Shoah Foundation staff and develop the courses they will teach the following year at UPenn.
USC Shoah Foundation’s Visual History Archive contains 52,000 audiovisual testimonies of survivors and other witnesses of the Holocaust and other genocides. The testimonies were conducted in 57 countries in 33 languages.
