Trojan Family Weekend Exhibit Introduces Students and Families to USC Shoah Foundation

In between attending classes together and posing for pictures in front of Tommy Trojan, USC students and their families can get to know USC Shoah Foundation in a special exhibit at this year’s Trojan Family Weekend.

Trojan Family Weekend kicked off today and runs through Sunday. Families of USC students are invited to visit the USC campus and attend dozens of activities, including department open houses, special lectures and presentations, student performances, and the Saturday football game and tailgate.

USC Shoah Foundation’s interactive exhibit is located in Doheny Library’s Herklotz Room and is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. Visitors may drop in any time to watch an informational video about the history and mission of the Shoah Foundation and search the Visual History Archive at four computer workstations. Two additional computers are designated for visitors who wish to spend more time watching testimonies.

Staff and researchers from USC Shoah Foundation are on hand to answer questions and help visitors search the archive.

The Visual History Archive contains 52,000 testimonies of survivors and other witnesses of the Holocaust and other genocides. The testimonies were conducted in 57 countries and in 33 languages.
