Apply for Three Teaching Fellowships at Center for Advanced Genocide Research
USC Shoah Foundation Center for Advanced Genocide Research is seeking applicants for three fellowships until Friday, April 15 and Sunday, May 1.
The 2016-2017 Teaching Fellowship will provide summer support for faculty at universities and colleges that are USC Shoah Foundation Visual History Archive (VHA) access sites to integrate testimonies from the Visual History Archive into new or existing courses.
The fellowship is open to all disciplinary and methodological approaches and will be awarded on a competitive basis to the most interesting project or projects. Depending on funding, the awarded faculty will have the opportunity to spend some days in residence at the Center during the summer of 2016 to collaborate with USC Shoah Foundation staff and researchers and receive specialized research assistance in preparing for their course. Applications for the fellowship are due April 15, 2016.
Harry Reicher, 2014 Rutman Fellowching Fellow will be invited to spend one week in residence at the Center during the summer of 2016 to collaborate with USC Shoah Foundation staff and researchers and receive specialized research assistance in preparing for his/her course. The fellow will be asked to present a lecture to the USC community about his/her research.
Following the fellowship course, the A.I. and Manet Schepps Foundation Teaching Fellow will present a lecture hosted by the USC Shoah Foundation at Texas A&M University about his/her experience researching in the archive and using it in-class with students. Applications for the fellowship are due May 1, 2016.
Finally, the Rutman Fellowship for Research and Teaching provides summer support for one member of the University of Pennsylvania faculty to integrate testimonies from the USC Shoah Foundation Visual History Archive (VHA) into a new or existing course.
Like the Texas A&M fellow, the Rutman fellow will spend one week in residence at the Center during the summer of 2016, present a lecture to the USC community about his/her research, and present a lecture to the University of Pennsylvania community about his/her experience using the archive. Applications are due May 1, 2016.
