Haiti Jewish Refugee Legacy Project honors Institute’s Director of Education
Kori Street receives Tikkun Olam Award
Dr. Kori Street, Director of Education for USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education, is a recipient of the Haiti Jewish Refugee Legacy Project’s 2012 Tikkun Olam Award. The Project, which focuses on Jews who found refuge in Haiti during the Holocaust, was established to preserve survivors’ memories and promote scholarship on their experiences. Previous recipients of the Tikkun Olam Award include Daniel Pearl and the Daniel Pearl Foundation; the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Yad Vashem, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum; U.S. congressman and Holocaust survivor Tom Lantos; and Doctors of the World.
